Fur4Me Hat & Mitts
Faux fur is fashionable on all kinds of garments, especially as trim, so it’s no surprise that a version should find is way to projects for kids.

The cuffs of these mitts and the brim of the hat are worked with large needles and two strands of yarn held together. The main sections are worked with a single strand of wool yarn and smaller needles. To compensate for the different gauges, you’l simply increase stitches in the first row of knitting with the single yarn by knitting into each strand of yarn as if it were a separate stitch, as indicated in the pattern instructions.

Fun Fur is nothing more than glitter nylon eyelash on a sturdy core. It can be knit singly, as a runner stranded with other yarns, or doubled to create a furrier effect. With this novelty yarn, you can make your own knitted fur using just a garter stitch!
