Required—Messrs. Walter Evans and Co.’s Maltese Thread, colours to suit the tapestry, cretonne, or other material it is intended to trim, or to match the draperies of the room if for a mantelboard edge. The engraved design is worked with brown, olive green, and crimson thread No. 10, hook 3½; and is 6½ inches deep, 4⅔ inches wide across each separate sprig.—No. 16 thread and No. 4 hook would reduce the size, No. 3 hook enlarge it.—For lace, White Boar’s Head Cotton No. 20 or 30 might be employed, and hook in proportion.
