I grew up in a small farming community in the Northeastern
part of Wisconsin, just miles from the great Lake Michigan. This is a place where miraculously—delightfully—the small family dairy farm continues to thrive. The vista stretching out from the backyard of my childhood shows a wooded river valley and gently rolling hills with a patchwork of green and gold farm fields.

Materials

Yarn: OMGMidwestYarn Worsted, 60% Domestic Alpaca/40% Merino; 175 yds/3.5oz: SandShoes, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11) skeins.

Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): 32” circular (cir) and double pointed (dpn); Size 8 (5.0 mm): 32” circular (cir) and double pointed (dpn). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; cable needle.
