Fusion
Fusion is a scarf or shawl depending on how many repeats are performed. The smaller size can be made with one skein of sock yarn (420 yards) and the larger size will require 2 (750 yards). The central pattern uses a mix of post stitches which results in two distinct sides. Both sides are attractive and I and my testers couldn’t decide which we liked better!
This pattern is great for those skeins of self-striping yarn, solids, and those wonderful “oddball” skeins that are often picked up in the sale bins. Once you get going, the pattern just flies by!
Written instructions are included for both sizes. There are no charts, but it is really intuitive once you get through the set up rows. It’s an easy pattern suitable for beginning crocheters but with enough zest to keep it interesting (if not addictive) to the more advanced crocheter.
If you can double crochet, work around a post, and weave in your ends, you are good to go!
