Simplicity can be bliss, especially when you have a wonderful yarn blend. This sweater, using a strand of fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of lovely mohair lace, gives you just that simplicity while being wonderfully warm and soft. A fuzzy hug!

As a bonus, the sweater is completely reversible. The stockinette stitch side features an unusual looking raglan increase line, while the reverse stockinette stitch side shows a raised raglan line in the form of a twisted stockinette stitch column.

Fuzzy Hug is worked top down, starting with casting on for the neck opening. Short rows are worked to shape the neckline (the option to omit those is also given – you’ll just have a higher, not rounded neckline at the front), and the yoke is shaped with raglan increases. The sleeve stitches are put on hold while the body is worked to the hem, after which the sleeve stitches are picked up again to work the sleeves from the top down.

The pattern is written for 14 sizes in total: 8 child sizes and 6 adult (women’s) sizes. Matching sweaters are a hit, no?

Other: 5 stitch markers (one different for beginning of rnd), waste yarn for holding sts for sleeves. Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge: Sample uses gauge of 18,5 sts & 26,5 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles.
