Great Holiday gift.
This warm and fuzzy lace neckwarmer is as soft as it is warm. It is knit using less than a single skein of Shalimar’s Breathless yarn in colorway Damask and one skein of Knit Picks Aloft. It is comprised of two stitches, the scallops that adorn both the top and the bottom and the focal stitch which is a lace stitch reminiscent of a fountain spraying water. The Aloft gives this neckwarmer a fuzziness and warmth, however, the neck warmer can also be knit without the carry yarn.
The neck warmer is approximately 26 inches wide and 8 inches high, but can easily be modified. It is shown here with a shawl pin that’s available at Bent Spoon Jewelry on Etsy.
The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).
The cowl was expertly test knitted by Barbara Robertson, who can be contacted at: Barb. Robertson@ gmail.com.
