Fylgja
by Lena Gjerald
In Norse mythology one can read about Fylgja, which can be translated into “someone that accompanies”. Now, that story has a little more to it, since the Fylgja is a supernatural being or spirit which follows a person in connection to their fate…
But on cold Norwegian winters, a pair of mittens is definitely something that follows me around, if not in the spiritual sense.
This is a pair of, in spite of the cables, a quick knit. Especially if you go on YouTube and search for “Knitting cables without a cable needle”.
I designed this pattern with Moeke Yarn Elena in mind, but you can use another yarn if you wish.
