Fýlloma Cowl is a one-size-fits-all cowl, designed for adults and suitable for both women and men.
It’s inspired by early October fall and designed in a way that it’s warm and sturdy, but also soft and providing some breathing space around the neck. You can easily put it on in a rush without needing to style it. You can also take it off when needed, fold it in half and put it aside, without too much thought of it getting crumpled up.
The design is simple, yet modern and versatile. Stitches used give a nice drape to it, and colors reflect the October foliage (Fýlloma is Greek for foliage ☺️). Even if a maker chooses to do the cowl in a single color, it would still have a lovely look because of the texture of the stitches and two-directional crocheting technique used.
Pattern calls for 8ply/DK/worsted weight8 ply / DK / worsted yarn (4 strands sport yarn) and 5mm crochet hook (or hook size needed to obtain gauge).
Finished cowl without blocking measures approximately 15.5” (40cm) in length (top cowl edge to bottom bandana peak) and 13.5” (35cm) in width.
