Gabla Mitts
Knit a quick and easy pair of chunky, warm and stylish fingerless mitts.
The cable plait is knit flat and either seamed or grafted into a circle. Stitches are then picked up from the bottom of the plait and the cuff is knit in the round.
There are 3 needle options given - these are for sizing as the plait will not match at the seam if rows are added or subtracted. Measure around the knuckles excluding the thumb for sizing. The 8mm/US 11 needles are for the Ladies Small (7”), 9mm/US 13 for Ladies Medium (7.5”) and 10mm/US 15 for Ladies Large (8”). The row gauge for the Small size should be around 12 rows to 4” to indicate what size roughly the plait should be using these needles.
A cable needle is also required for the plait.
