This is the perfect crochet sweater pattern for someone that is looking for a quick and easy project that is suitable for beginner level or intermediate lever crocheters. With an oversize fit and a stitch that makes it feel almost like a knitted sweater, it drapes over the body without it being to heavy, making it perfect for spring and autumn and so cute layered over turtleneck in the winter.

What this pattern includes:

  • Written instructions supported with step by step pictures and diagrams to easily understand the stitch and construction of the Sweater. There’s a Testers Section with sizing details as well as any notes on any customization made to the sweater - for example the length or the fit of the neckline - to help you choose the best size for your desired fit.

What you need:

  • Yarn: I recommend, medium size (aran / worsted) acrylic / wool-like. Some testers also used DK weight, so it’s best to gauge swatch to make sure the feel of the fabric is right. Yardage table included on the pattern.
  • Crochet Hook: As long as it meets the gauge any crochet hook will be fine.
  • Scissors to cut the yarn.
  • Tapestry needle or a smaller crochet hook to weave in the ends.
  • Stitch markers are recommended.

Sizing:

The Pattern is written for a size 2 and has stitch and row counts for sizes 1 to 5, you can check the testers section to help you decide the best fit for you.

Project Time:

About 15 hours for an intermediate crocheter. Beginner level testers took about 30 to 60 hours, depending on size. So it’s one of those projects that you can make it happen in a weekend if you reeeeally want to ahah or just enjoy it through the month by crocheting 1 - 2 hours at a time.

Testers:

This pattern has been tested by 15 lovely people, after testing the neckline was adjusted to be a bit tighter and the width of the sweater to meet the testers final pieces (as I thought they looked perfect and it was the best reference point). The pattern contains every tester details including, their measurements, which size they followed and any customization to the length of the sweater and sleeves, so you can check which is the best fit for you! Some of the testers even made the sweater for someone else and that is noted as well.
