Galatea Lakes Mittens are a light lace mitten great for the warm winter days, spring and autumn. Taking less that one skein of fingering yarn they are fairly easy to knit up. Play with colours to your heart’s content.

The yarn used is fingering weight and the construction is top down with a 1x1 rib. The lace pattern shows best with solid or semi-solid colourways.

Sample Knit:
I have made the mittens using 1 skein (100g/ 3.5 oz.) of Olann Mills Socklite (80% Wool, 20% Nylon) Fingering Yarn in a OOAK colourway. Substituting other Fingering weight yarns would be appropriate as long as you meet gauge.

Difficulty: Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate
You will need to know how to cast on, knit and purl stitch, decrease, and some easy lace stitches including yarnovers and knit two together (instructions provided).

Sizes: Adult X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large)
