Gallagher
The body of the shawl is a triangle worked in sections of reverse stockinette with stockinette bands in between. It flows into a textured part that is worked with small cables that can easily be worked without a cable needle. The shawl is finished with a small garter border and a Picot Bind-off.
Yarn: Baa Ram Ewe Dovestone DK, 50% Bluefaced Leicester, 25% Wensleydale Longwool, 25% Dark Brown Masham; 230 m /252 yards per 100 g
Yardage for sample: 620 m / 680 yards of dk yarn
You may substitute with any yarn that knits up to gauge. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage; so make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project!
Needles: 4.5 mm/US 7, circular needle, cable 80 cm/32” or longer
Notions: stitchmarkers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, pins for blocking
Gauge: 15 stitches/19 rows in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric
Dimensions 185x75 cm / 72x30 inches
