It hints at the ability to see things from a larger perspective, the ability to see what is right for one’s self and take a decisive course of action based upon that sight. In reverse “Raidho” stands for injustice, disruption, dislocation, and even death. Being bitten by a werewolf as a child removed many of Remus Lupin’s options in life; yet, it never removed him from the path that he saw laid out before him. No matter what obstacles bigotry placed in front of him Remus remained vigilant right up to his untimely death. Both “Raidho” and “Raidho Reversed” are entwined in the lace pattern on this sock, surrounded by a basket weave pattern that symbolizes just how tightly woven these very different principles were woven into Professor Lupin’s moral fiber.’
