This lacy hat & mitts is soft and warm, with a tighter knit using small needles and fingering weight yarn. A quick knit, you can finish more than one for gifts in just a few days (and include one for yourself!).

All pieces are worked bottom up, with no seaming. You can work these with any preferred circular method (Magic Loop, circular needles, or dpns). I used 16” and 9” circulars with dpns for the last bits of the hat crown.

The pattern gives a second size option for the hat(about 1.5”/4.5cm bigger in circumference), and the hat can also be made longer if you wish by repeating the lace pattern rows. Two skeins of this yarn should be enough for either option. I used 72g of two skeins (100g).

This set is well suited to sock yarn as well, as you want something a bit stretchy for a snug fit.
