Galway Tree is a fun approach to traditional Irish cables with a brioche twist!
This cowl was first designed for my workshops at the craft retreat in the West of Ireland organized by Stitchtopia.
It is worked in the round from the bottom up, starting with plain two-colour brioche, then incorporating an interesting selection of different cable combinations, and culminating in a slightly more challenging mix of cables and brioche motifs.
This progressive construction is ideal for adventurous knitters who want to try their hand at new techniques.
The cable directions are charted and fully written within the pattern as well.
The cable combinations present in this pattern are easy to work without a cable needle. Instructions are provided.
The brioche directions are written only.***
