This cosy simple shawl is knitted in easily memorable Basket Weave and Garter Stitch patterns.

It is in a shape of an elongated, asymmetrical triangle with a curved top edge. You start knitting at one tip, work across the shawl till the opposite end where you bind of with an i-cord.

Galway Wrap is a pattern suitable for any worsted weight yarns.

Pattern instructions come for one size but it is easily adjustable to make bigger wraps.

Sample 1: (smaller, 124cm/49’’ x 38cm/15’’) in Blues and Teals:
C1 - Cascade Heathers 2020 in Summer Sky - 55gr
C2 - Malabrigo Worsted in Emelald Blue - 65gr
C3 - Cascade Heathers 2020 in Pacific - 65gr
Needles used: 4.5mm

Sample 2: (bigger, 145cm/57’’ x 41cm/16.25’’) in Galway Wool yarns, which I hand dyed in blues and pinks:
C1 - Gaillimh in pink - 40gr
C2 - Gaillimh in lilac - 40gr
C3 - Galway Worsted DK in light blue - 50gr
C4 - Galway Worsted DK in medium blue - 50gr
C5 - Galway Worsted DK in dark blue - 50gr
Needles used: 4mm

Note: All of the above Galway Yarns come undyed, in their natural colour Báinín. You can knit the whole Wrap using this beautiful natural colour too. See the last photo.
