This pattern is available in Sockupied, Fall 2011 issue and includes a four-minute video tutorial with Ann Budd. For these textured socks, Ann challenged herself to come up with a variety of knit-purl “Gansey“ patterns that incorporated a rib component, which would increase elasticity and make the socks hug the legs and feet. In addition, she wanted to include a clock pattern—in this case, four-stitch cables—along the sides of the leg and instep.

Sizes:
There are two sizes: About 6.5 (7.5)” foot circumference, 9 (10)” foot length from back of heel to tip of toe. To fit women’s U.S. shoe sizes 6 to 7.5 (women’s 8 to 10 or men’s U.S. 7 to 9).
