INTRODUCTION

Garance is an elegant and fluffy wool and mohair sweater. Its short and blousy cut evokes the aesthetics of the shapes of the 40s. Its ample ease offers comfort and modernity. The Garance sweater is knitted top down, from top to bottom, which allows you to define its length. It has shortened rows to create a shoulder slope. You will start by knitting back and forth the back to the armholes then the front to the armholes as well. You will then knit in the round to the desired length and finish with a wide ribbed edge. You will then knit the sleeves by picking up stitches around the armholes. Finally, you will knit the collar by picking up stitches around the neckline. You will not have to sew anything.

Make a gauge before starting your knitting. The Garance sweater is worn with 20 to 25 cm of positive ease depending on the desired fullness. Choose the size that most closely relates to your bust measurement once the 20 to 25 cm of positive ease has been added.

Sizes: XS / S / M / L / XL / 2XL / 3XL / 4XL / 5XL.

Bust circumference (under the arms): 103 / 109 / 114 / 120 / 124 / 130 / 134 / 145 / 158 cm with a positive ease of 20 to 25 cm.

Length: adjustable. Recommended length: 50 / 51 / 52 / 53 / 54 / 55 / 56 / 58 / 60 cm.

Gauge sample in jersey stitch: 10X10 cm: 19 sts X 26 rows with 5 mm needle.
Suggested needles: 5mm and 3mm circular needle (40 and 80 cm or only 80cm in magic loop).

Materials: stitch marker, row counter.

Suggested yarn: Drops Flora + Drops Kid silk (2 yarns held together).

INTRODUCTION

Garance est un pull élégant et duveteux en laine et mohair. Sa coupe courte et blousante évoque l’esthétique des formes des années 40. Son aisance ample offre confort et modernité. Le pull Garance est tricoté en top down, du haut vers le bas ce qui vous permet de définir sa longueur. Il comporte des rangs raccourcis pour créer une pente d’épaule. Vous commencerez par tricoter en aller-retour le dos jusqu’aux emmanchures puis le devant jusqu’aux emmanchures également. Vous tricoterez ensuite en rond jusqu’à la longueur désirée et finirez par un large bord côtes. Vous tricoterez ensuite les manches en relevant des mailles autour des emmanchures. Enfin vous tricoterez le col en relevant des mailles autour de l’encolure. Vous n’aurez pas de couture à réaliser.

Réalisez un échantillon avant de commencer votre tricot. Le pull Garance se porte avec 20 à 25 cm d’aisance positive en fonction de l’ampleur souhaitée. Choisissez la taille qui se rapporte le plus de votre tour de buste une fois les 20 à 25 cm d’aisance positive ajoutés.
