This is a 100 % CLASSIC C R O C H E T pattern, not tunisian, and definitively not knitting.

♡ This hood feels and looks like a knitted one, but it’s 100% classic crochet.
♥ The leafy pattern is gorgeous and it will be a head turn. Also, it’s a design very suitable for variegated yarns with slow transitions from one color to the next one.
♡ Knit-look crochet pieces are also good starter for conversation with any crocheter. They won’t believe that it’s a crochet (not knitting) garment.
♥ GARDEN FAIRY HOOD has a few slices joined as you go, one sewing line at the back of the head and one under the chin.
♡ This hood is designed for 2 different yarn weights (3 and 4) and in 2 sizes. The finished length will be from 35 cm for DK yarn smaller size, up to 58 cm for MEDIUM yarn biggest size. The depth of the hood is up to you and will be achieved by repeating the stitchery for more or less times. A child sized hood will be made using DK yarn and the smaller size. The other sizes are suitable for teens and adults, the largest ones suitable for large heads or big hair.

This pattern is written in English, American terminology with STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS and LARGE & DETAILED PHOTOS for each step for making this charming hood.

SIZES:
• from children to large adult

SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE Basic skills of crocheting are needed

MATERIALS:
• Any variegated LIGHT/DK yarn (weight 3) or MEDIUM yarn (weight 4) approx. 190/200 m in any case, for a regular hood.
For an ampler one (in depth) you’ll need more yarn.
Examples for variegated suitable yarns: UNFORGETTABLE by RedHeart, VALS by Nako, AMBIANCE by YarnArt, CARNIVAL by Hobbii, RIOT by King Cole, PRISM by MaryMaxim etc
• Hook – 4.5 mm for DK yarn, 5mm for the MEDIUM yarn or any other hook size to obtain the gauge
• Sewing needle, scissors

My example hood is made using SUNNY RAINBOW STRICKGARN YARN by Tedi (EU chain stores for hobby and home deco).
The exact same color is PRISM by MaryMaxim shade MACAW.
