Garden Flowers Jumper
Garden Flowers Jumper as a classic stitch-counted pattern with short video-instructions for elements and techniques used in the design so that you will be sure you’re doing them right (NOT a full-time video from scratch to the finished piece)
You will have to obtain the gauge:
20 sts and 31 rows in double moss stitch (DMS) in 10x10 swatch on 4.00 mm (US 6) needles after blocking. Use any needles to obtain the gauge.
Carefully calculated and tested for 6 sizes:
0-6 months (56-68 cm), 6-12 months (68-74 cm), 12-18 months (80-86 cm), 2-3 years (92-98 cm), 4-5 years (104-110 cm), 6-7 years (116-122 cm)
Yarn: Air Drops (150 m / 50 g – Aran weight), Lana Gatto Super Soft (125 m /50 g – DK weight), Cotton Merino Infinity (105 m /50 g – DK weight) - or any other DK weight yarn if you manage to obtain the gauge.
Total – 3 (4,4, 4, 5, 6) balls for each size correspondingly for Air Drops or 4 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) for Lana Gatto Super Soft or 4 (5, 5, 6, 8, 9) of Cotton Merino Infinity.
Knitting skills (experienced): all basic knitting stitches and abbreviations, reading charts, stockinette stitch in rounds and rows, double moss stitch (DMS) in rounds and rows, 3-needle bind-off, picking up stitches for sleeves and neck band - though there are short videos for the mentioned techniques, the process requires attention and patience, that’s why I don’t recommend this pattern to beginners.
Knitting needles: 4 mm US 6 – on a 60 cm 24” cord and DPNs for sleeves; 3 mm US 2 ½ - on a 60 cm 24”
cord and DPNs for sleeves or any to obtain the gauge.
If you don’t meet the gauge on 4 mm needles, please, change them as gauge is important in this pattern.
Additional notions: tapestry needle, cable needle, 4 stitch holders (can be substituted by pieces of waste yarn), scissors, stitch markers.
Embroidery instructions are also provided with videos.
