These garden friends are waldorf inspired and crocheted top-down. The head and body are one piece and we stuff it as we go. We crochet the arms and legs directly onto the body, so you don’t have to sew them on. Make sure you follow the correct instructions: there are instructions for left-handed and right-handed crocheters. The belly button and bottom are best made after the arms and legs, so you can decide where to make them. The Garden Folk has an average height of 25cm / 10inch.
If you like, you can crochet hair using mohair, or boucle yarn. Sew the hair onto the head, embroider eyes and a little mouth. And off they skip into the garden.

YARN
Drops Muskat in desired skin color.
Mohair yarn for the hair.
Or Boucle yarn for the hair.

HOOK
Size 3mm / D-3
Size 4mm / G-6

OTHER
Tapestry needle
Thread (DMC Embroidery Floss) to embroider eyes
Pink cotton for a mouth
Wool for filling

Important: these dolls are ws out. I know rs out is considered to be the way to go. However, I like the touch, the curving and the look of ws out better. If you want the rs out, follow the instructions for the other hand. So if you’re right-handed, follow lh instructions.
