Quick and fun project to use the brightly coloured jute yarn and string I am always finding at the garden centre.

Beware it’s a little tough on the fingers! so be sure to stop for breaks and apply handcream.

Make yourself a set of garden placemats, or you could just as easily use cotton and make an indoor set for your conservatory or porch.

The name of the jute I purchased in the UK is called CraftSmart and comes in lots of pretty bright colours, but you can use any hemp, jute, string, or even cotton.
