With spring knocking on the door and celebrating Easter, Mother’s Day and all the fun holidays during the season, I decided to design an Easter set! New beginnings with a promise!

The Easter basket, placemat and candle holder are a complete set using the Slanted Puff, or in other words a stitch combination of V-sts and Puff stitches worked over a sc post. It creates and light and airy design that’s perfect for Easter.

**Materials:**
2 Skeins Red Heart Super Saver 4-ply WW yarn (frosty green)
(makes 1 basket, 4 placemats, 2 votives)
1 Skein Red Heart Super Saver 4-ply WW yarn (white)
Sm amt Red Heart 4-ply WW yarn ea (pink & yellow)
Crochet hook size H/8 (5.00 mm)

**Other Materials:**
1 (5 3/4" dia) round plastic mesh or CD
2 Chenille stems (handle) or strips of plastic canvas mesh

**Finishing Material:**
Tapestry needle
Glue gun/glue
1 1/2 yds (3/8" W) ribbon (basket)
Votive candle holder
9 pearls (optional)
6 polyester roses (optional)

**Finished Sizes:**
Easter Basket: 4 1/4" T w/o handle x 6" dia
Placemat: 15 1/2" W x 12" L
Candle Holder: Fits a votive candle holder (Approx 2 1/2" T x 2 1/2" dia)
