Our Garden Party Loop is so named because it strikes the perfect balance between elegant and casual for a posh outdoor gathering and is ideal for draping over your shoulders on a breezy day.

It can be worn at the neck as a cowl—wrapped once or doubled—or over your shoulders as a cover up (see photos). The drapey stockinette stitch is punctuated by rows of elongated stitches to add interest, but Louvre is the star of the show with its pretty dappled stripes and sparkle. It is a versatile and stylish summer accessory that will complement your outfit at an outdoor wedding or brunch with friends.

You have the choice to follow the pattern as written or to space out the elongated rows however your heart desires.

3.5mm (US 4) straight or circular needles, or size to obtain gauge
3.5mm (US E/4) crochet hook (or similar) for provisional cast on
Darning needle

GAUGE
24 sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4” in stockinette after blocking. Gauge is not critical, but any changes in gauge will affect meterage required and finished size.
