GARDEN PATH COWL is a fun, lacy cowl that is created one color at a time using elongated stitches. Whether you are looking to show off a fun variegated yarn, or some delightful tonals, this cowl brings springtime to life! Gauge is variable, as is your yarn choice. The samples shown are worked in a variegated fingering weight, and a high-contrast solid sport weight yarn.

Fingering weight, approximately 500 yds.
Variegated: Oink Pigments Whimsy (80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon), 415 yds/100g
Colorways: Plying My Best and Soil Mates, 1 skein each

Sport weight, approximately 500 yards
High Contrast: Miss Babs Keira (100% merino), 560 yds/225g
Colorways: Cascara and Dark Cassiopeia, one-half skein each

NEEDLES
US 5/3.75mm or size to obtain gauge 22” circular needle. If using larger gauge yarn, increase needle size accordingly.

GAUGE
25 stitches and 37 rows in 4” (10 cm) in lace pattern. Gauge is not critical to this pattern, as you will have plenty of yarn to finish.
