Crochet wash cloths are great for the speed with which they can be made, but they are often very dense. This pattern works up quickly and is also light and airy.

The texture of the stitch pattern is reminiscent of new plants sprouting in a spring garden, while the stripe of post stitches along the bottom could be a fence or lattice.

Worked as instructed, each cloth uses less then one ball of cotton.

The size of the cloth is easily adjusted by increasing the number of stitches and/or rows.
