Gardenia
Gardenia is a half-circle/crescent, textured shawl, ideal for a cool summer night. Knit with Berroco Cosma in a loose gauge, the wool/alpaca/silk blend lends drape and elegance to the rustic garter stitch background, textured lace and cabled floral panel, eyelet edging and picot bind-off. Gardenia is a perfect casual or dressy shawl, ideal with either a pair of jeans or with a pretty summer evening dress.
Note on the yarn colours: I designed this shawl for my mom for Mothers’ Day 2017. She loves the colours and patterns of traditional blue and white pottery, so I had those colours in mind while writing this pattern. Feel free to substitute any two colours to make your own custom coloured Gardenia!
