This pattern was named after my cousin, Margaret Miner’s, first husband, Garland. I always thought his was an interesting name and now, in Margaret’s memory, I have used the name for this pattern.

This is a work in progress. The pattern that is available is as the garland looks now.

I find it tricky to do Row 1 and Row 2. It seemed like the thread was always slipping off of the hook, (I crochet very loose) but, it’s worth it. The look is exactly what I wanted.

I may put something on the “plainer” side, but at the present, I don’t know. I have almost 15 feet of garland to go with the “tree” motif I have started. We will see when I get this side done what I decide to do.
