Garlands shawl
This delightful shawl is a pretty and quick knit, and can also be a way to use up various scraps of DK weight yarn. I have used yarn in three different colors (and different brands, but with the same thickness and fiber content) for my shawl.
The shawl also coordinates well with my Garlands hats pattern, for those who want a hat to go with the shawl.
This pattern can be used with any DK weight yarn. I have used DK weight yarns in white, teal and mint for my shawl, but a 2-colored version would also look good, as would a many-colored version that uses up all the leftovers from other projects. The pattern should also work with other yarn weights, but in my opinion no thinner yarns than Sport Weight yarn.
I used about 280 meters DK weight yarn in white for my shawl, and slightly less of each of the teal and the mint-colored yarn.
