Garnacha
Garnacha is a red wine grape common in Spain and parts of France (where it’s called Grenache). It’s a beautiful, deep burgundy color with a dry and spicy flavor. I’ve had the yarn I used to make this sweater (Lion Brand Re-Tweed) for quite some time and never knew quite what to do with it, but the color, Vineyard Wines, was begging to be made into a comfy, casual, drinking wine and chatting with friends sweater.
This is an easy, beginner friendly garment made in one long continuous piece. Depending on how fast you crochet you can have it completed in about 2 days. It is also oversized and works well for a variety of body shapes and sizes (instructions are included for sizes XS - 4/5X).
Materials required:
Hooks in size 5 mm and 5.5 mm (or size needed to achieve gauge).
Aran or worsted weight yarn (preferably something soft and comfy!).
Suggested: tapestry needle to sew in ends.
Gauge: 9 rows x 12 stitches = 4” in hdc
Pattern includes photos and written instructions. Link is included to accessible version that includes detailed alt text for images. Both versions are colorblind-accessible.
