This is a pattern for Garter and Flower Placemats and coasters, originally published in Knit Today. It is a simple garter stitch, with crochet flowers and crochet edgings on the coasters. You will need 2 x 100 gm balls dk main colour, 1 x 100 gm ball 4 ply each contrast colours. There is only a very small amount needed for the flower centres, this could be the main dk split or a different 4 ply.
