Simple, warm and stretchy Chunky Garter Knit Bonnet in 4 sizes: 0-6 Month, 6-12 Month, Toddler (1-3 yr) and Child (3-8 yr).

Materials Needed:
-10 mm (US 15) 16” circular needles
-Super Bulky Yarn ( I recommend Lionbrand Thick & Quick or something similar) approx 60-70 yards
-tapestry needle
-scissors
-measuring tape
-9mm crochet hook
-pompom/tags optional

Skill Level: Intermediate

This bonnet is first KNIT (brim, body, short rows), then grafted with Kitchener Stitch & tapestry needle, then CROCHETED (ties and base border) - optional finishing ideas included for non-crocheters.
Knitting Stitches used: cast on, purl, knit, slip, “Wrap & Turn” for SHORT ROWS, Kitchener Stitch for grafting back of bonnet
Crochet Stitches used: Single Crochet, Slip Stitch and Chain
Instructions include detailed photo tutorials for both SHORT ROWS and KITCHENER STITCH
