Garter Lurra starts with a long rectangular garter stitch strip that is grafted together to create a brim. Stitches are then picked up along the top edge of the brim and worked in the round to create the hat.

The top of the hat has four decrease points that create a geometrical crown… finally the hat is finished off with a pom-pom or a pair of knotted I-Cords.

You can also purchase the pattern as a pdf and gather your own supplies to make Lurra.

The difference between Lurra and Garter Lurra is the complexity of the band… you can purchase them individually, or together for a discounted price!

Clarification: The Band is knit with the smaller needle, which can be straight, circular or double point!
