Mid- Gauge Knitting Machine Pattern. DK Drop Sleeve Round Neck Pullover. Age 3 month to 6 years.

A classic drop sleeve pullover pattern in DK. The added detail along the neckband is made with a buttonhole. It’s easy to knit and requires some shaping at the front neckline. If you don’t enjoy seaming, then this is a great pattern for you. The sleeves are knitted from the top down after the shoulder seams are joined using the machine. The only seams to join will be the side and sleeve seams.

A great pattern for beginners getting to know their mid gauge knitting machine. Since there is very little shaping, it’s a good way to get acquainted with your machine. Or simply use this pattern as a weekend project to clear some of your yarn stash.
It can be knitted as is or used as a canvas for picture knitting. It also looks great with all over stripes if you would like to use up your scraps of yarn. You could even use self patterning yarn. The sleeves are worked from the top down. This is great for those who would like to reduce the amount of seaming the pieces together.
Garter stich is used for the hems and neckband. They can be knitted using a garter bar or hand knitted.

This is a machine knitting pattern but can be adapted for hand knitting by knitting a test square using 4mm needles and DK yarn.
The garter stitch neckline and hem can be substituted with stitches of your choice.

Skills required:

Cast on, , Bind off, transfer, decrease, buttonholes, hand manipulate stitches or use of the garter bar.

This project was knitted on a LK150 using Double Knitting 100% acrylic. Any Mid gauge knitting machine can be used but be sure to check the gauge before you begin.
Note:- When using hand knitting yarn the LK150 to test for the tension, the yellow ruler may not correspond for the row number. You will get a more accurate measurement when using a tension square for testing. For the yarn used during the testing of this pattern the most accurate was stitch dial 4.

Garter stich is used for the hems and neckband. They can be knitted using a garter bar or hand knitted.
