Garter Stitch Cardigan
Two simple garter stitch rectangles are folded and sewn together to create this fun and easy to make short- sleeved cardigan. This project uses fingering weight yarn and size US 7 needles to create a lightweight, airy garment - the perfect layering piece for summer!
Yarn: 360 (400, 460, 520){600, 650, 730, 800} yards any fingering (sock) weight yarn. The sample shown in the pattern used a bit less than one skein each of two different sock yarns.
Finished bust: 30 (34, 38, 42){46, 50, 54, 58}”
Length: 10.5”
Needles: Size US 7 or size needed to obtain gauge.
** STASH BUSTER ALERT! **
This project is an excellent way to use up some of that leftover sock yarn in your stash. Make your cardigan all one color, or consider incorporating stripes - as long as your gauge is close, you’ve got free reign to be creative!
