These gaiters are as simple as they get: a near-square of garter stitch! They’ll fit 19” to 20” tall adult-style dolls. Knitting these gaiters sideways allows you to make the gaiters as big around as needed. I added extra length to cover part of the doll shoe. Cast on fewer stitches, if you’d like the doll’s shoes to show. When your knitting just barely reaches around the thickest part of the doll leg or just a couple of rows short of that, bind off and sew seam. I left 1 inch of the seam open to cover the shoe for a boot look.
Model is Dollmore’s 19” tall Illua.

Skills needed: cast on, slip, knit, bind off in knit stitch and sew seam.
Optional: provisional cast-on to sew to bind-off stitches

Gauge is important in this pattern. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.

62 yards of Kroy Socks yarn will make a pair of doll gaiters at gauge.
One skein of Kroy Socks yarn will make 2 pairs of gaiters.
