Use this pattern to give your next any-gauge garter-stitch-like scarf project an undulating, understated wave! The subtle effect lends itself well to random scraps, which is what’s used for the sample swatch shown here, or self-striping yarns.
This pattern is only a few lines long, and the instructions provide cast-on numbers for scarves/wraps measuring 8(12.5,16.5)“/20(32, 42) cm wide.
Materials:
- 600-1000 yards of light fingering-weight yarns or scraps (sample swatch shows handspun Malabrigo Yarn Nube in Solis and Juliespins Euro Fingering in Packham Pear)
- 1 24” circular needle in US4/3.5mm, or size needed for your preferred gauge.
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
No official gauge! For reference, gauge in the sample shown (it’s made from sock/fingeringweight yarn) is 23 sts and about 36 rows over 4”/10cm in pattern, blocked.
