The Gartinette Baby Cardigan is a comfortable piece with an original and timeless design and it’s the perfect pattern for confident beginners.

It is knitted from the top down, in a combination of garter and stockinette stitch.
There are two versions available: one with wavy garter stitch sections at the yoke
and another with straight garter stitch sections.

The instructions are divided in two files for an easier interpretation.
Instructions for optional short rows at the back are included.

PATTERN INFORMATION:
- Available Sizes: teeny newborn (±2,250Kg/±5 lbs), tiny newborn (±2,700Kg/±6 lbs), small newborn (±3,150kg/±7 lbs), newborn (±3,600kg/±8 lbs), 0-1 months, 1-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months.

• Files download: 2 files - the pattern is divided in two files (one with the wavy version and another with the gender neutral version).
• Construction: Knitted flat.
• Experience level: Beginner.
• Yarn: DK/sport weight yarn.
• Tension: 25 stitches x 34 rows = 10cm / 4” worked in stockinette stitch and 24 sts x 48 rows = 10cm / 4” worked in garter stitch, with 3,5mm (US 4) needles
• Yardage: approx. 140-500 meters depending on size you are knitting.
• Needles: 3,5mm (US4) and 3mm (US2,5) circular needles with approx. 60-80cm (24”-32”)
• Knitting techniques: Knit, Purl, simple increases and decreases, icelandic bind off.
• Languages: English and Portuguese.
