Garvamore Fingerless Mitts are perfect for knitters wanting to learn basic cable techniques on a small scale. The mitts feature a simple but stunning central cable design and a thumb gusset for extra comfort. Garvamore mitts are worked in the round from cuff to finger edge. Gusset stitches are picked up and worked separately in the round. The mitts are finished off with simple ribbing at the finger openings.

The pattern offers two different length mitts: wristwarmer (short) and gauntlet (long).

20 sts and 28 rounds over 4” (10cm) in Stockinette Stitch, blocked.

This pattern is recommended for intermediate knitters. Knitters should have some experience following a cable chart or written instructions, and making basic increases and decreases.

Garvamore mitts will work with any worsted weight yarn. They require approximately 100 yds (92m) for the wristwarmer length, and 145 yds (134m) for the gauntlet length. For the samples I used Knit Picks Twill (100% Superwash Merino Wool, 149 yds/100g). Gauntlet length are in Voyage Heather (#28534), and wristwarmer length are in Crabapple (#27933).
