Gary the Gecko
“Gary the Gecko is kind of shy and quiet. He loves cuddles on the sofa and watching movies. But don’t let his quietness deceive you! He’s super quick at running and is an outstanding acrobat.”
This is the pattern for Gary the Gecko. It features written instructions and photos on how to complete him. This is an amigurami pattern, which is made up of single crochet stitches worked in the round to create his 3D shape.
I used Nako Saten yarn to make my version, which is a sport weight yarn. With a 3mm hook, this resulted in Gary being roughly 58cm long. So he is pretty big! Gauge isn’t massively important, just make sure that your stitches are tight enough so no stuffing escapes.
I decided to do a striped colour pattern on mine, however you can easily leave it all as one colour if you wish. If using different coloured stripes this would be a great stash buster!
If you have any questions about the pattern or need help at all, just pop me a message on here or on my social media. Please do not recreate this pattern or sell it on. You can sell your finished makes, but please credit me as the designer. Please do tag me on social media @sharkyknowscrochet I’d love to see your makes!
Have fun!
