If you crochet it with 2,2 mm hook your cat will be about 6cm tall as the yellow cotton one. Gray Gaston was made with a 2,75 mm hook and chenille, resulting in a 10cm tall cat.
Velvet could easily be a choice if you want a bigger plush.
