A shawl designed to celebrate my fortieth birthday.

We should all do something to celebrate our birthdays, especially when we hit a big number. This past Summer, I turned 40. In honour of that, I designed my own shawl pattern. The shawl has been named Gaudium which is Latin for joy. The yarn I used to design the pattern is my absolute favourite fingering weight yarn, Alegria, which means joy in Spanish.

There is a few different stitch patterns but they are all easy to do. Great for an enthusiastic beginner. Interesting enough for the experienced knitter.
