This pattern was designed to work with Good For Ewe’s Rainbow Taster Kits- 25g of 6 different rainbow colors, but you can make it work with any 6 sport weight colors! There are 4 patterns included in this file- 1 striped hat, 1 Fair Isle hat, 1 striped cowl, and 1 Fair Isle cowl. Ultimately, you get a rainbow fade regardless of how you knit it.

From pattern: There are 2 ways to knit this fade-style hat or cowl. The first (and more beginner-friendly) is to employ stripes as a transition between colors, and the second is to fade into the next segment using Fair Isle. If you are newer to Fair Isle knitting, this is an ideal project because there are only 15 rounds of very easy Fair Isle, and 7-14 rounds of corrugated ribbing.
