These wristlets with lively geckos on a background of floral ornamentation will be sure to add an eyecatcher to your outfit. They make a quick and entertaining knit, if you’re familiar with stranded colourwork, and will use only a small amount of fingering-weight yarn for each of the colours.

The pattern provides instructions for a three-colour pair of wristlets with different motifs and cuffs, as shown in the sample. But you’ve got lots of options: The PDF also includes two additional charts with the mirror images of the main motifs, and the design can be worked in a number of colours, from two to four, or even five.
The sample wristlets measure 7.5 cm/7’’ around and are 15 cm/6’’ long; size is adjusted by choosing a different needle size.

Skills required: Knitting stranded colourwork in the round, working yarn overs and knitting stitches together for the picot edges, and optional beading with a small crochet hook.

The pattern contains a photo tutorial for working the picot edges. The colourwork motifs are charted; there will be some longer floats that you need to catch on the wrong side of your knitting.
