Geisha Amigurumi Doll Kokeshi Maiko
This pattern will guide you to crochet a geisha - maiko doll as shown in pictures, using US terms. The doll is worked from the bottom up; feet, legs and body in 1 part.
Size will be approx. 15.5” (40 cm) tall, crocheted using acrylic yarn (8 ply / DK), and hook size E (3.5 mm)
If you wish to make a taller or smaller version of this doll, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn / crochet hook. This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn.
Gauge is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
The pattern is mostly worked in continuous rounds. Some parts are worked in rows.
