Geisha blanket
I’m Gaëlle, I live in France (in Normandie), and I design crochet patterns for all crochet addicts like me !
I create this “Geisha” blanket as I’m actualy in love with Temari ball, a japanese traditional embroidery work and so I was totally inspired by all around Japan this time…and the Geisha design by BellaDesign was perfect to be made as a mosaic crochet blanket !
This blanket is made in Overlay Mosaic Crochet (in rows) and in addition of the “classic” mosaic crochet you will also have to deal with color change technique for the umbrella. You will find in the Pattern the link to my youtube video with all the explanation on this technique. But if you are afraid with this, you can also made it into 2 colors, using the background color for this part too.
Dimension of blanket in cm : 110cm * 150cm (without the border).
It counts 212 stitches and 275 rows !
The Pattern content :
- The yarn needed by colors, some tips and photo tutorial to master the mosaic crochet technique.
- The chart (with the DC flag with an X) in a single page if you use any pdf reader or in 9 pages if you plan to print it.
- The row by row written instructions (in english - US terms and in French).
Hope you will enjoy this pattern as I loved doing it !
Happy Crocheting !
