The story of Gemini tells of twin sons born to Queen Leda, Castor, the mortal son of Spartan King Tyndareus, and Pollux, immortal son of the ruler of the gods Zeus. The twins were fearsome warriors, but when Castor is killed, Pollux chooses to save his brother by giving him half of his immortality. To do this, Zeus reunites the brothers in the night sky as the constellation Gemini. The three main parts of this shawl represent Castor and Pollux’ birth, separation by death, and finally - rebirth above.

Fingering weight yarn in 3 colors. Each color represents a character in the story.
C1– represents Castor
C2– represents Pollux
C3– represents Death
