Gemma Cape
Gemma Cape is a warm accessory that you can easily use in your
everyday life.
It is worked in a very unique and simple way and it’s a quite quick
project.
You are going to make a big rectangle with two attached panels that will cover the shoulders.
The panels will be gradually reduced to
become a pair of straps.
Measurements
Child: 60 cm (23.6 inches) wide and
56 cm (22 inches) long
Adult:86 cm (34 inches) wide and 75
cm (30 inches) long
Measurements are given for the main rectangle without the two panels and straps.
This pattern gives you measurements and instructions for child and adult sizes.
However you can make a bigger or smaller version of the cape keeping in mind that the starting chain is a multiple of 3 plus 5.

yards) of bulky weight yarn in
MC and 30 m (32.8 yards) of
bulky weight yarn in CC
Adult size: 750 m (820 yards)
of bulky weight yarn in MC
and 60 m (65.6 yards) of
bulky weight yarn in CC
● 6 mm (J/10), 8 mm (L-11)
and 9 mm (M/N-13) crochet

● Tapestry needle

Gauge
5 squares made of (dc, sk 1, ch 1,
dc) and 5 rows = 10 cm (4 inches)
