Gender Reveal Heart: It's A Boy! It's A Girl!
It’s A Boy! It’s A Girl!
The Gender Reveal Heart ornament/frame is a sweet knitted pattern that may be completed in one night. It is designed as a palm-sized heart that can be placed in a box or bag for parents, grandparents, or friends to open. Once the baby comes, the Heart may be used as a picture frame.
If parents want to learn the baby’s gender at the same time as guests, knit one pink and one blue, and ask a medical professional to put the appropriate color in a fancy box or bag, and the other in a plain paper bag. (Give the other away as a gift or use it later!)
This pattern does require a 5 cm HEART-SHAPED HOOP. A link to the one I used is embedded in the PDF pattern. Simply click on the link. (I am not compensated for this, it just works perfectly.) Alternatively, one may create their own heart-shaped hoop using a pipe cleaner. A sample of one created on a pipe cleaner is shown on the instructions.
The written instructions include many photographs to help create the Gender Reveal Heart. The pattern does require some simple sewing with the main color yarn. The knitted edging is worked flat.
The Gender Reveal Heart may be decorated with yarn, ribbon, or alphabet beads. ALSO INCLUDED on the pattern is the It’s a Boy! and It’s a Girl! printable charms. Simply punch them out using a 1-inch paper punch.
Congratulations and Enjoy!
