Gentle Ripple Cowl
This cowl is worked flat in a gentle ripple pattern. The basic pattern uses 2 contrasting colours and is joined with a raised slip stitch finish providing a focus to the join. The gold coloured sample is is the basic pattern, using Willow Knits Silk Worsted, and the finished size is 60cm (24”) around by 17.5cm (7”) deep.
As made it can be hooked up in a couple of evenings, but it could be made to any length using more yarn and varied using different colour combinations and using the raised join at each colour change. A description of one possible variation is included in the pattern. The blue coloured sample is this variation.
It would be a great stash buster, capable of using up small quantities of double knit or worsted yarn. Or use a different weight of yarn provided you use a suitable hook size.
